COMMUNITARIAN POLICIES AND INTERNATIONAL PARTNERSHIPS
The consortium for Development of Polesine - Agency for local Development-
is committed to develop the relations with European Union through projects,
exchanges of delegations, operating on the themes of development of the
economic system characterised by the Small-Average companies; for the
adaptation of the Public Administration to the challenge of the changes;
of the twinning between local agencies; the exchange of experiences in
matter of environment preservation.
The Consortium for Development has been recognised "Mandated Body" by
the European Union due to the performed activities.
Currently the Consortium is committed in defining projects and opportunities,
with the Polesine authorities, to consolidate social and economic relations
between the System of the province of Rovigo and local agencies of Europe
and the Mediterranean area.
Among the initiatives promoted by the Consortium for Development within
Communitarian Programs, it is worth to mention:
- Realisation of the initiative "Monitoring of European fluvial basins"
within the Ecos-Ouverture
Program. Besides the Consortium for Development - Partner Leader-
four main partners have operated for the realisation of the project:
the Province of Isernia (Italy), the Camara Municipal de Vila Nova da
Barquinha (Portugal), the Consiliul Judetean Tulcea (Romania).
- The realisation of the 1st International Conference "Preservation
of the environment in the enlargement process of European Union", held
on 15th/16th November 2002, organised within the Program "Support for
the promotion of twinning between cities - 2002" to which participated
the municipalities of Adria, Bergantino, Castelmassa, Castelnovo Bariano,
Ceneselli, Costa di Rovigo, Fiesso Umbertiano, Fratta Polesine, Gaiba,
Lusia, Pincara, Polesella, Porto Tolle, Porto Viro, Rovigo, Villamarzana,
Villadose.
